Dublin

Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Dublin has, in fact, become a destination for mass tourism for a few years now but is usually seen as a city where you pass by before moving into the countryside or it is experienced only for its nightlife, among the most “interesting” in Europe.

Beautiful parks

Green is the national colour of Ireland, and while we aren’t going to argue that the best parks in Dublin are the reason for that, we aren’t going to deny it either. The whole island of Ireland is awash with verdant woodland, gorgeous gardens and lush fields, and the capital is no different. Dublin is a great place to cultivate a world-beating hangover, but the capital's parks offer plenty of opportunities to walk it off.

Temple bar

One of the most famous pubs in Dublin is the Temple Bar (established in 1840), famous for its location but also because it offers over 450 different kinds of rare whiskies (Ireland's largest collection). You can't miss this red building, it looks typically Irish and it is always buzzing.

Guiness Store house

Located in the heart of St. James's Gate, the Guinness Storehouse building was once the fermentation plant of the brewery. Today, you can experience Guinness like nowhere else. As you make your way through the space, explore the ingredients, history, and culture that tell the Guinness story.

National Galery Museum

The National Gallery of Ireland is located in the heart of Georgian Dublin. Opened in 1864, it houses the national collection of Irish and European fine art. Admission to the permanent collection is free.

Dublin's Georgian heart is so beautifully intact that you might find yourself feeling as if you have stepped back in time. 18th century Dublin was one of Europe's largest cities and its predominant style known as 'Georgian' after the four Hanoverian kings of England, all named George.

Phoenix park

The Phoenix Park is one of the largest enclosed public parks in any capital city in Europe. Both passive and active recreational pursuits may be pursued such as walking, running, polo, cricket, hurling and many more. There are many walks and cycle trails available to the public.
